  • Bureau Veritas presents its first half 2009 Safety and Environment key performance indicators. Print Page Tell Friend

    Bureau Veritas publishes on a quarterly basis the Safety and Environment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), based on the information collected from the entire Group. End of July, the first half 2009 data were available and analyzed, indicating a continuous improvement of the results.

    SAFETY KPIs

    Group safety indicators are total accident rate, lost time rate and accident severity rate. They are consolidated for the entire Group since 2007.

    These indicators are defined:
    • Total Accident Rate (TAR) is the number of total accidents per 100 employees;
    • Lost Time Accident (LTA) is the number of lost time accidents per 100 employees;
    • Accident Severity (ASR) is total number of lost days per 1 000 working hours.

    The following numbers concern the first half of 2009:

         


    ENVIRONMENT KPIs

    Environment indicators are energy, water and paper consumption. They are consolidated for 40 % of the total headcount of the Group:



    The overall Health Safety and Environment performance of the Group improved compared to 2008. However, efforts are to be continued to continuously improve the health & safety of our employees and our environmental footprint, and to ensure Group objectives are met.
