GOVERNMENT SERVICES & INTERNATIONAL TRADE (GSIT)
>>> Reducing risk factors in worldwide trade
Bureau Veritas assists governments with the implementation of programmes designed to optimise the collection of taxes on imports and to check that products comply with the specified standards.
Bureau Veritas also fulfils the needs of private operators, international organisations and public bodies, handling operations such as inspecting agro-food and agricultural products and checking export products (wood, oil, cocoa, etc.)
The company’s programmes mainly consist of services involving the inspection of goods either prior to shipping or on arrival at the destination, services involving checking that the goods comply with domestic or international standards and services involving technical inspection of vehicles.
In order to achieve the targets, the Division draws on support from a solid network of inspectors and specialist laboratories and can also call upon advanced techniques such as risk management and X-ray scans.
